On Friday 30/01/2009 at 23:00 NZ time, there will be a change in the IP addresses of the following nameservers:
ns1.sparklehosting.com
ns2.sparklehosting.com
Sites using these Nameservers are being migrated to a new server, a move done primarily to improve performance. "host2" has been around for a couple of years, and the new server ('gary.sparklehosting.com') is significantly more powerful, and sits within a very nice datacenter.
While this shouldn't mean that you need to do anything (as most domain registrants wont accept IP addresses, just names), it will mean that a small window of time will exist where your sites are accessed from the old IP by some viewers, and the new one by others.
This is anticipated to be very minor, and should be resolved within the hour.
Your data will be transferred during the evening of Friday, so when the change occurs, everything will be absolutely seamless for your visitors.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this advisory.
